Looking for the parents of Jacob ZIMMERMAN, born
1778, died 1845 in Union township, Schuylkill Co., PA. He
married Christiana LABENBERG/LOWENBERG and had at least
15 children and many grandchildren. He is somehow related
to the family of Emanual and Hannah ZIMMERMAN, and their
children Roland, Henry, David, Esther, John, and
Elizabeth. Supposedly he was one of the children, but
these six were born in the very late 1790's or early
1800's. Some sources say Jacob was born in Berks County,
PA. Other sources say the family came from New York to PA
and then Emanuel returned later to New York State. Jacob
was a Justice of the Peace form 1825 to 1845. Contact Dorothy at: dottycom@flash.net |

Lena stated in the 1890 census that she had 10 children. I can only find nine and she also says in the 1890 census that 5 of her children are still living. My understanding is that the family lived in LoganTwp, AuglaizeCo, OH, and that Charles Gesellchen (and Emma) owned a grocery store. Contact Keith at: dots@praxis.net |
